Procrastinating on Facebook... again

hey all
i was just procrastinating on facebook (again) and i did a personality test.

u think this is me?

~~

Temperament
Idealist
You are the quintessential dreamer - spending more time thinking about the possibilities that the world holds for you, rather than your reality. You don't settle for anything less than what you truly desire and you work very hard. You tend to live in every place except the present - you are prone to daydreaming about the future and re-thinking the choices you made in the past. Sometimes you get overly caught up in your thoughts.

Interests
Simple
You are continually pursuing a simpler and less complicated life - you don't allow yourself to fall victim to all of the "should do's" that society continually bombards you with. You are thoughtful about your life choices and think in terms of yourself, others and the world in which we live. You have a great sense that we are part of something much bigger and we must be good to others, if we want others and the world to be good to us.

Amusement
Thoughtful
You are easily stressed out and overwhelmed - you need to take care of yourself first and foremost. Because you tend to be self reflective, you know your limits quite well and must remember to not exceed those limits. When you overwhelm your life with obligations and responsibilities, you tend to shut down and go into yourself even further. Take some time to find your serenity and kick back your feet.

Passion
Traditional
Your notions about romance are viewed as unrealistic by many, but don't let that stop you. When you think of romance, you think of huge gestures of commitment, sacrifice and love like we see in the movies. Flowers, chocolate, and wine are just some of the ways to your heart. You want to feel loved and treasured by your partner and you expect to be courted, admired and hotly pursued. You long for old fashioned dating.

~~

good luck to everyone!

A Few Thoughts

1246PM 02102007

howdie ho, my dear blog stalkers,

i need to make a confession.

i have been having serious road rage lately. serious road rage.

incident #1
i was driving home from uni a couple of weeks ago when a lexus tried to cut in front of me. i sped up a little just he/she couldnt cut into my lane. the driver gave me the finger. i smiled back. satisfied.

incident #2
this guy was tailgating me all the way from eastwood to james ruse drive. i drove excessively slow just to piss him off. and when he tried to cut in front of me, i sped up. ha!

i am sick and tired of people thinking P-platers are bad drivers, i mean, seeing the full licensed drivers on the road, i truly believe that the statistics on P-platers and accidents and all that bs is totally rigged. totally. i was in CC's car last week when i saw her at mac centre and she was kind enough to give me a lift home (thanks, CC!) when we were talking about being P-platers. we are both sick and tired of all the pre-conceptions people have because it's a lose-lose situation for us. if we drive too slow, people think we're holding up traffic and we're noobs because we're scared of driving without our instructors. but this always happens on major roads like old windsor road or cumberland high way. the limit is 90 and i go at 90 but everyone else is going at 120. *profanity omitted* as if i am holding up traffic! argh! also, if we drive too fast, people think we're proving the statistics right. *profanity omitted*

oh, i gtg for now

brb.

1052PM

ok im back

enough about my road rage for now.

i downloaded tetris onto my phone last week and i have been totally addicted to it ever since. it makes me think of my childhood, which made me think of the songs that makes you feel young again. it's like, there are songs that takes you back to the place where you heard it or sang it or it even makes you relive a whole holiday =) make me wonder how time literally flies past us.

~~

iv realised how we can predict the longevity of a certain type of technology depending on who and how certain demographic brackets embrace it. for example, i can sense the demise of myspace and facebook because... my parents and their peer group has joined. honestly, icq was fun until my parents signed up and then their friends joined the bandwagon... and then... the whole population moved onto msn.

it's not a bad thing, oh no, dont get me wrong on this. im not complaining. it's just an observation. my point seems to prove how children are actually trying to hide from their elders by logging onto the internet. i just find this high correlation very... intriguing. =)

anyways, enough of my ranting.

What's Hot and What's Not

hello everyone!

it's been a long while since my last post and it has been even longer since my post about what's hot and what's not.

iv been wanting a new bag for a while now. actually, a new clutch. i am so over bag bags and all i want now is something i can fit things into but not too massively big. apart from the times when i'm at uni when i need a rather larger bag, i do want to keep my belongings to bare essentials.

something beautiful would be like this

*fendi to you bag*

so nothing too massive because apparently it's bad for your back =S but then again, something that can fit a lot of my crap in would be pretty big, aye? haha!

*gucci aviatrix in sand and ebony*

another bag i've been craving for...

*fendi canvas coated crossword bag*

am i going through a fendi phase? maybe... =P

what's hot
accessories are hot. random bunches of keys, chains, pendents. woah! like how zess puts it, 'there's a lot going on there!'. bangles are hot. colourful bangles. either go all the way with the plastics or keep it natural with wooden bangles. but remember, one focus per outfit. if your bag is in focus, dont steal its thunder with another loud item.

what's hot
sequins are so not. please, no more sequined dresses. please. no more.

The Mayonnaise Jar and 2 Cups of Coffee

When things in your lives seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the grains of sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things - your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favourite passions - and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car. The sand is everything else - the small stuff."

"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you."

"Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first - the things that really matter.

Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

The bus stops and 2 men get on. They sit down and engage in an animated conversation. The lady sitting next to them ignores them at first, but her attention is galvanized when she hears one of them say the following:
"Emma come first. Den I come. Den two asses come together. I come once-a-more! Two asses, they come together again. I come again and peetwice. Then I come one lasta time."
The lady can't take this any more, "You foul-mouthed s*xobsessed pig,"she retorted indignantly. "In this country, we don't speak aloud in public places about our s*x lives."
"Hey, coola down lady," said the man. "Who talkin'abouta s*x? I'm a justa tellin' my frienda how to spell 'Mississippi'."
