The Night Before NYE... (and NYE)...

just as i wanna start, the door bell rings... hold up ppls...
~~
ok my boss and his family just came over for an hour... how nice of them... they got me a blue butterfly pin thing from cairns. man i feel so bad now if i screw up at work... ><"" but hey im still on holidays~!

so, how was christmas for everyone? i really enjoyed christmas this year, maybe it's because i didnt expect much to happen, and things happen when you least expect them to... hehe =)

one thing i've noticed with every christmas is that kids are forced to take pics with santa claus. for goodness' sakes, i recon parents with kids under the age of 5 years should all be banned from taking their kids to those santa photo stands. i really dont see the point in making a 3 year old freak out totally just because the parents wants a pic of santa claus. if they really want one, why dont they go and take one themselves? the kid is totally freaked, how would you feel if you were made to sit on a guy's lap and look happy? the guy is a total stranger who hasnt shaved for the past 15 years and he's friggin wearing a massive red coat, long trousers and boots right in the middle of summer. total pedophaelia i recon (however u spell that)...

what else? oh yes, i've finally realised what hampers are for... hahahaha after making 50 million of them at work, i've realised that hampers are actually encouraging people to use their money in other things, such as christmas presents. it's like *oh i see that you probably dont have enough money to spend on christmas presents so i'll buy you some food so u can spend those food money on presents for me*. there's a hint of goodness in hampers i guess because you are trying to help people feel like celebrating the festive season.

and oh yeh, i dont see why people dont sing the birthday song as christmas carols... i mean, it is the birth of Jesus, right? although it's been proved that His actual birthday was around april sometime, but hey, the wise men found him then, right? so basically we're having a late birthday party every year? so why arent we singing birthday songs to Him? thank God there're no birthday punches...

so basically that's a different aspect of christmas from me this year...
~
i was given a link to someone's blog today and man, it's getting addictive reading this chic's blog. i mean, she has the time to write so much basically every day? and man, she sounds soo much like a freak haha... and people actually comment on her thing soo often, like one time 24 people commented... no, there's no hint of jealousy in mentioning all this, it's just that people do have a net life... i wonder what she's like in real life... yeh?
~
hmm ok, now back to my life... hahaha...

i am starting to get really confused about what my parents want from me these days... they go off at my brother for staring at his computer all day, playing net games and holding forums etc. and they say to him like he's gonna lose all the communicating skills and he wont be able to have proper relationships with people etc because all he can do is communicate on the internet and not in real life. and then what do they do? they try to lock me up from going out and meeting my friends? they say they dont see a point in bumming with my friends, not even at their houses because it's useless? ok, u dont want my bro to stare at the computer screen all day, but u guys dont want me to see my friends either? im soo confused... ><"""
~
so yeh, summer school's going to start soon... wish me luck ><"" far out the whole world's in hong kong right now... i wish i was there with you guys!!

until next time...

Trying to lock u out from ur fds is ridiculous to me...i mean u work n go uni through out the yr, should be allow to have fun in da holz la...as long as u are not doing nething bad.
Maybe u needa talk it over wif ur mum...agree on something n settle it in a peaceful manner ^^

A very loud "Hear Hear!" to your most recent posting on the topic of forcing children to take photos with Santa. I was working in DJs (the Christmas Cave) during last December, and honestly, some behaviour that I witnessed exhibited by parents was nearly enough to eradicate all faith I had in the human race.
There was this woman who was adament that her 4 year old son should have a photo with Santa. The poor child was hysteric with nervousness and fear - so much so that the kind and understanding mother actually slapped her son across the face. He then threw up all over Santa, (Santa then had to go get changed), and the mother still insisted that the photo be taken. It's horrible! The stupid things people do for the sake of tradition! For pity's sake, have social security on standby in future places where one takes photos with Santa!
